Tamil Nadu Budget Unveils ₹139 Crore 'Super Clean, Super Campus' for 10,000 Schools'

A ₹139 crore fund will launch 'Super Clean, Super Campus' in 10,000 schools. New residential schools under the Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Model Schools scheme will cost ₹125 crore initially. The government set aside ₹2,000 crore for laptops for college students, ₹90 crore for five new IT Is and a Special Law College in Madurai, and ₹5.50 crore for 10 Olympic Centres of Excellence.
Hajj subsidies rose from ₹25,000 to ₹35,000, with ₹1.05 crore for Christian and Muslim women's welfare associations and ₹34 crore for five Muslim burial grounds. The 'gold coin, silk saree scheme' received ₹812 crore for eight grams of gold and a saree at weddings, while ₹560 crore funds gold rings for newborns. Wilson criticized the previous DMK regime for doubling state debt and announced a special fee on liquor manufacturing units to generate up to ₹1,000 crore.
