To Add an Email, Open Settings, Go to Account, Tap Email Address, and Enter the Address

WhatsApp now lets users add an email address to their accounts as a recovery method when they lose access to their phone number or cannot receive SMS verification codes. To add an email, open Settings, go to Account, tap Email Address, and enter the address.

A verification code will be sent to that email; enter it in the app to complete the process. This can also be done during initial setup or registration. If you do not receive the code, check that the email is spelled correctly.

If an error message appears, first check your internet connection; switching from Wi-Fi to mobile data often resolves the issue. If the problem persists, review your DNS settings, as some third-party DNS configurations may conflict with WhatsApp services. Switching to public DNS servers like Google (8.8.8.8) or Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) can eliminate connection issues. Regularly reviewing your security settings is key to protecting your digital assets.
