The pool, located in the frigidarium section of the Hamam Gymnasium complex, measures 37 meters in length and 12 meters in width, with a capacity of approximately 300 people. In a social media post, Ersoy said, We have completed another important work within the scope of our Heritage for the Future Project in Aydın Tralleis Ancient City. We have brought to light the 2,000-year-old ancient pool in the frigidarium section of the Hamam Gymnasium complex, measuring 37 meters in length and 12 meters in width, with a capacity of approximately 300 people, by completing its excavation and restoration work.

He thanked the staff of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Museums, the excavation team, academics, and all contributors. The excavations, conducted under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Murat Çekilmez in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Museums, and Aydın Adnan Menderes University, suggest the pool was used by young people receiving education at the gymnasium. The Hamam Gymnasium complex spans approximately 40,000 square meters and includes significant sections of Roman bath architecture such as caldarium, tepidarium, and frigidarium. Excavation and restoration work in the frigidarium section began in 2022 and was completed under the Heritage for the Future Project.
