United Breweries Q1 Net Profit Drops 9.64% to ₹166.28 Crore

United Breweries Ltd reported a 9.64% drop in consolidated net profit to ₹166.28 crore for the June quarter of FY27, hit by higher expenses and the West Asia conflict.
The Heineken NV-controlled brewer posted a profit of ₹184.03 crore a year earlier. Revenue from operations rose 10% to ₹5,919.44 crore from ₹5,380.78 crore. Sell-in volumes grew 9% and sell-out volumes 13%, while inventory was cut 20% to improve cash flow.
Premium volumes rose 17% excluding two states affected by the war; all-India premium growth was 7%, with Heineken Silver up 28% and Kingfisher Ultra 11%. Total expenses climbed 11.7% to ₹5,745.66 crore, and total income rose 10.7% to ₹5,970.15 crore. CEO Vivek Gupta said inflationary pressures will persist, so the company will focus on pricing, cost management, and productivity to protect margins. UBL sell-in volumes were up 9 per cent, and sell-out volumes were up 13 per cent in Q1 FY27, while deliberately reducing inventory levels (-20 per cent) to improve cash flow.
