Aleksey Likhachev Said Four Employees of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant Were Injured by Mines Dropped on a Road by Ukrainian Drones

In a written statement, Likhachev said the four were hit by mines on August 3-5. Two of the injured were hospitalized in serious condition, while the other two with minor injuries refused hospital care. Likhachev said Ukrainian drones drop "butterfly-type" mines every night on the main road to Energodar, where the plant is located, endangering access, food supply, ambulance operations, and shift changes. He claimed the mining of the road linking the plant and Energodar has no military significance and targets workers and residents.
The Zaporizhzhia plant is Europe's largest nuclear facility. Russian forces seized control of it in March 2022 after the war began.
