Iain Ashmore, 45, of Fuchsia Way, Witham St Hughes, told police he was "fed up" of being pulled over and accused them of "targeting" him. When asked how he kept his licence despite the points, he quipped he was a very good person. Ashmore pleaded guilty on 24 July to three counts of driving while disqualified, three of driving without insurance, and one of using a mobile phone. He received an eight-week suspended prison sentence, a 12-month disqualification, and was ordered to pay costs and a surcharge.
