The United Nations reported that more than 150 Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks in July across the occupied Palestinian territories. UN Deputy Spokesperson Farhan Haq told a daily press briefing in New York that Israeli airstrikes, artillery fire, and armed assaults continued over the weekend in Gaza, killing many civilians, including children. Citing Palestinian Health Ministry data, Haq said over 150 deaths were recorded in July, marking the highest monthly toll since the start of the year.

Most attacks were reported in the western part of the Gaza Strip, where nearly all of the 2.1 million residents are concentrated. An Israeli strike damaged a medical supply depot near Al-Aqsa Hospital, with the World Health Organization noting light damage to the hospital building itself, destroying vital supplies, including those delivered by the WHO. Haq reiterated that health facilities must not be targeted and warned that funding shortages continue to cause critical medical supply gaps. Additional infection-control materials await Israeli approval for entry into Gaza.
